Winters breathe melts the heart of a White Rabbit

Today is a Fire Rabbit day. The fire element represents the heart and as fire melts metal, it also affects the other astrological bunny present; the annual Rabbit. White is also the colour of Metal, so no points for spotting our inspiration in today's title.

Winters breathe sounds somewhat poetic, which can also be linked to the fire element. It’s appropriate today as it is the start of the winter season in the Chinese calendar. As such, it is considered one of the year’s high energy days and is usually good for contemplation or meditation. However, as the fire element also represents action, the Chinese almanac recommends travelling, getting married, having an astrology reading, emigrating, opening a business and trading, moving earth, fixing a roof or setting up a tombstone.

Coincidentally, the Fire Rabbit horoscope of Sir Edmond Halley FRS, the English astronomer, geophysicist, mathematician, meteorologist, and physicist best known for computing the orbit of the eponymous Halley's Comet, would have celebrated his 355th birthday today.

To see how your own sign is affected today, see our daily Fire Rabbit horoscope. We will return tomorrow on an Earth Dragon day.

Until then, enjoy NOW!
