It’s a Water Ox day. Salty is the taste associated with the water element, beef comes from the ox, and as it’s also a Mound day in the 28 Lunar Mansion, today's title seems a “fate thing”.
This makes it a good day for building, especially refurbishing a
kitchen, whilst aligning a stove to a favourable direction is said to bring
harmony and longevity.
Joy is also associated with the Mound and although we do not advocate
eating our fellow animals, somewhere to prepare the ultimate salt beef sandwich
may make some people very happy indeed.
Refurbishment is all the Chinese almanac recommends as suitable
activities today. Unsuitable activities are dealing with legal issues and fishing,
so with fish off the menu, salt beef might just come in handy now.
